Agile Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Lead and coach an agile team within a scaled agile framework (SAFe).

• Facilitate team breakouts, PI Planning, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, and backlog refinement sessions.

• Collaborate effectively with product owners, business analysts, release train engineers, architects, cybersecurity subject matter experts, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Track and mitigate impediments while ensuring coordination across teams.

• Maintain team metrics and conduct capacity planning activities.

• Work alongside Scrum Masters to manage dependencies and ensure consistency across teams.

• Oversee product releases and manage dependencies among teams and external parties.

• Assist in the development of product roadmaps.

• Encourage continuous improvement and the development of high-performing teams.

• Develop and enhance processes to improve quality and productivity.

• Contribute to Agile communities of practice.

• Ensure appropriate staffing for assigned Epics and Features.

• Schedule and allocate tasks, resolve issues, and provide guidance.

• Ensure product quality and timely delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, along with seven years of relevant experience.

• Certified Scrum Master or Certified SAFe Scrum Master with substantial experience coaching Scrum teams.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• At least three (3) years of experience leading teams using an Agile Scrum or Scaled Agile methodology.

• Understanding of software development processes including planning, development, requirements management, configuration management, quality assurance, and release management.

• Highly responsible and team-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a solid work ethic; must be a self-starter.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and capable of passing an IT-1 background investigation.

• SAFe Advanced Scrum Master, SAFe Practitioner, or other Scaled Agile Certification (preferred).

• Experience with continuous deployment models (preferred).

• Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to innovative ideas and principles (preferred).
