Agile Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Guide and mentor an agile team within the SAFe framework.

• Facilitate team breakouts, PI Planning, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, and backlog refinement sessions.

• Monitor and eliminate impediments while ensuring effective cross-team collaboration.

• Maintain team metrics and identify areas for improvement.

• Conduct capacity planning for iterations and increments.

• Work alongside Scrum Masters to manage dependencies and maintain consistency across teams.

• Collaborate with architects, cybersecurity subject matter experts, and stakeholders.

• Oversee product releases and manage dependencies among teams and third parties.

• Assist in the development of the product roadmap.

• Promote continuous improvement and the development of high-performing teams.

• Enhance processes to improve quality and productivity.

• Engage with Agile communities of practice.

• Ensure appropriate staffing for assigned Epics and Features.

• Organize and distribute work, provide guidance to teams, and resolve issues.

• Guarantee product quality and adherence to delivery timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, along with seven years of relevant experience.

• Certified Scrum Master or Certified SAFe Scrum Master with extensive experience in coaching Scrum teams.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• At least three (3) years of experience leading teams utilizing an Agile Scrum or Scaled Agile approach.

• Knowledge of software development planning, development processes, requirements management, configuration management, quality assurance, and release management.

• Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a solid work ethic; self-motivated.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Capable of passing an IT-1 background investigation.

• SAFe Advanced Scrum Master, SAFe Practitioner, or other Scaled Agile Certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with continuous deployment models.

• Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts while contributing innovative ideas and solutions.
