Agile Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Facilitate Scrum events for designated teams, encompassing sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Assist in ensuring backlog readiness, planning sprint capacity, and enhancing visibility of dependencies.

• Guide the planning and execution of complex programs that involve multiple engineering teams, product areas, stakeholders, or workstreams.

• Define integrated program scope, anticipated outcomes, milestones, dependencies, risks, assumptions, capacity requirements, and decision points.

• Coordinate delivery across agile teams and structured initiatives, selecting delivery methodologies based on complexity, timing, governance, and business requirements.

• Lead program-level planning, reviews, risk discussions, dependency management, and decision-making across teams.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Product Delivery, Operations, and business stakeholders to align objectives and address cross-team challenges.

• Enhance visibility into program health, commitments, obstacles, changes, and expected results.

• Manage the escalation and resolution of cross-team risks, capacity limitations, and dependencies.

• Mentor teams and delivery partners on agile methodologies, continuous improvement, quality of planning, and cross-functional cooperation.

• Maintain program plans, logs of decisions and actions, records of risks and dependencies, milestone overviews, and reporting documents.

• Utilize delivery metrics and trend data to identify risks, enhance predictability, and support program-level decisions.

• Monitor KPIs associated with sprint predictability, milestone achievement, dependency health, risk aging, throughput, cycle time, and improvement initiatives.

• Provide unbiased reporting on program outcomes, reliability of planning, health of execution, and decision-making requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or New York.

• Regular attendance at the Philadelphia office is mandatory.

• Strong understanding of Scrum, agile delivery methods, iterative planning, and scaled coordination across teams.

• Practical experience in facilitating Scrum events and supporting backlog readiness, sprint planning, team capacity, and continuous enhancement.

• Advanced skills in program and project management, including integrated planning, scope management, milestone oversight, dependency coordination, risk management, capacity planning, and stakeholder communication.

• Capable of functioning effectively across agile and traditional delivery models, customizing the approach to meet program requirements.

• Ability to distill complex information, recognize systemic risks, and present decision-ready alternatives to senior leaders.

• Experience in defining and utilizing delivery KPIs, program health metrics, and trend data to boost predictability and execution.

• Strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, and communication abilities across both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Exceptional organizational discipline, attention to detail, and follow-through across multiple concurrent priorities.

• Proficient in using Jira, Confluence, and standard program reporting tools.

• Verified experience as an Agile Program Manager, Senior Agile Project Manager, Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, Technical Program Manager, or a similar role.

• Experience in facilitating Scrum events for engineering, platform, data, product, or technology teams.

• Proven track record of leading complex programs across multiple teams and workstreams, while ensuring effective team-level agile practices.

• Experience in managing cross-team dependencies, risks, capacity challenges, and delivery trade-offs.

• Experience in coordinating internal initiatives that require structured planning, milestone tracking, governance, and adherence to deadlines.

• Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and encourage accountability among senior technical and business stakeholders.

• Experience in leveraging metrics to enhance program predictability, process efficiency, quality of planning, and accountability in execution.

• Experience in conveying program health, critical decisions, and business ramifications to leadership.
