Agile Product Owner – Underwriting Modernization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and Agile team members to comprehend business objectives and convert needs into well-defined Features and User Stories.

• Sustain and prioritize a robust product backlog.

• Assist in executing product vision and roadmap through incremental deliverables.

• Utilize stakeholder feedback, business insights, and delivery metrics to enhance customer-centric product delivery.

• Act as the Product Owner for an Agile delivery team.

• Guide backlog refinement, sprint planning, and sprint review processes.

• Engage in daily standups and retrospectives.

• Recognize risks, dependencies, and obstacles, and promote timely resolutions.

• Foster relationships and build trust between business and technology teams.

• Promote alignment, facilitate discussions, and assist teams in navigating uncertainty and conflicting priorities.

• Convey priorities, risks, key decisions, and delivery results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Contribute to the Underwriting Modernization initiative at Great American Risk Solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading initiatives, projects, process enhancements, or business and technology efforts involving several stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Agile environments or working on cross-functional teams delivering business or technology solutions.

• Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.

• Preferred experience in insurance, financial services, technology, operations, business analysis, project delivery, or related fields.

• Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and dedication to continuous learning and professional development.

• Aspiration to evolve into more extensive product leadership roles over time.

• CSPO or SAFe certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

• Openness to travel up to 10%.
