This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Support the training of specialized skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within the Water Program.
• Utilize adult learning theories and various learning styles to enhance learner success and course efficiency.
• Deliver instruction via online platforms and/or in classroom settings.
• Facilitate field-based skills training sessions.
• Offer technical assistance in a specific area of expertise.
• Employ diverse media to effectively present course materials.
• Assist in the creation or revision of curriculum content as necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and skills.
• Report directly to the Training Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems.
• At least one year of experience in adult training, which may encompass on-the-job training.
• Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Texas Class "B" Water license required.
• Texas Class "B" Wastewater license, or Wastewater Collection II or III certification required.
• TCEQ Sponsor Requirements: 60 hours of classroom instructional experience OR completion of approved Instructor training courses.
• Approved instructor training must include Methods of Teaching OR Effective Instructional Techniques, AND Instructional Design and Evaluation OR Organizational and Use of Training Materials.
• TCEQ requirements must be fulfilled within 6 months of employment.
• Equivalency: Associate’s degree with five years of experience in operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems OR High School Diploma/GED with seven years of relevant experience.
• Applicants will undergo a criminal history investigation.
• Employment is contingent upon the verification of credentials and/or other necessary information.
