Advisor, Strategic Sourcing – Indirect Procurement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +19 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead category sourcing for designated indirect categories, which may include Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Energy, and Facilities.

• Act as the primary sourcing business partner for key stakeholders in assigned indirect categories.

• Source indirect goods and services by collaborating with suppliers.

• Initiate, negotiate, finalize, and oversee contracts with indirect suppliers.

• Manage Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.

• Promote purchasing discipline and ensure compliance with internal stakeholders.

• Review and authorize BuyNow purchase requests and the establishment of new suppliers.

• Work alongside legal and compliance teams to secure advantageous contract and purchasing terms.

• Utilize spend analytics and market intelligence to pinpoint opportunities for cost optimization.

• Foster relationships with category business partners to assess sourcing requirements.

• Implement competitive bidding, negotiate contracts, and enhance technical processes continuously.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.

• Over 3 years of experience in a related area is preferred, including strategic sourcing (indirect), category management, supplier management, and negotiation experience.

• Proficient in communication and presentation skills in English.

• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and external supplier partners.

• Strong financial acumen.

• Excellent project and process management skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Familiarity with industry and market conditions.

• Knowledge of SAP and SAP Ariba is a plus.
