This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Initiate and drive prominent national fundraising efforts across the region, including St. Jude Dream Home initiatives and radiothons.

• Engage volunteers and sponsors to implement best practices for national programs and optimize revenue generation.

• Achieve and surpass financial and stewardship targets set by territorial and area leadership.

• Cultivate relationships with volunteers and donors primarily through direct, face-to-face engagement.

• Provide encouragement, guidance, direction, and resources for fundraising efforts through personal visits, written communications, and electronic messages.

• Develop and execute marketing and recruitment strategies for events informed by market research and awareness of current trends in the designated area.

• Create and expand multiple high-value revenue-generating events (over $250,000), such as dinners, galas, golf tournaments, dream homes, and walks.

• Draft written communications before and after events and keep precise records of event contacts and financial outcomes.

• Collaborate with internal area and enterprise teams, volunteers, and stakeholders to identify, nurture, and solicit Dream Home and Radiothon contributors.

• Conduct research on potential donors and formulate sponsorship proposals.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in fundraising, development, customer service, or sales.

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Proven success in relationship management and experience in peer-to-peer fundraising.

• Ability to connect with donors and volunteers from various backgrounds and cultures.

• Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and public speaking abilities.

• Proven skills in negotiation and active listening.

• Donor/customer-focused with outstanding writing, telephone, and organizational capabilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising software.

• Ability to communicate clearly and influence others effectively.

• Willingness to travel frequently within the Huntsville and Birmingham areas.

• Occasional travel to the Nashville office and periodic visits to Memphis as needed for business purposes.

• Travel commitment of 15%-20%, including some nights and weekends.

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.

• Candidates must reside in either the Huntsville or Birmingham, Alabama region.
