This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Oversee the creation and editing of content for English Language Learning products.
• Evaluate and authorize manuscripts, assessments, scripts, audio/video resources, image briefs, digital content, and supplementary materials.
• Ensure that content is pedagogically effective, practical for both teachers and learners, and in accordance with CEFR, GSE, learning outcomes, and Pearson quality standards.
• Manage projects from start to finish, including scope definition, scheduling, documentation, risk assessment, stakeholder reviews, and delivery deadlines.
• Collaborate with teams from Product, Content Development, Production, Digital, Assessment, Design, Marketing, as well as vendors, authors, and freelancers.
• Oversee external vendors and partners, ensuring clarity of expectations, quality standards, timelines, and deliverables.
• Identify potential risks, suggest solutions, and make informed content-related decisions to keep projects progressing smoothly.
• Promote continuous improvement, including the integration of AI and emerging tools to enhance quality, efficiency, and scalability.
• Strong alignment with Pearson’s culture and values, exemplifying Pearson’s Essential Behaviors.
• Background in English Language Teaching, English Language Learning, educational publishing, or content development.
• Previous experience in English language teaching or substantial ELT expertise.
• Comprehensive understanding of ELT/ELL pedagogy, CEFR, GSE, learning outcomes, and language progression.
• Experience in developing, reviewing, or managing educational materials in both print and/or digital formats.
• Strong editorial, quality review, stakeholder management, and project management capabilities.
• Experience in managing vendors, freelancers, authors, or outsourced content development partners.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholders within a complex environment.
• Confidence to work autonomously, navigate ambiguity, identify risks, and propose practical solutions.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is highly desirable.
• Interest in AI, emerging technologies, and innovative content development practices is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in English is required.
