Advanced Practice Provider, Evenings & Weekends

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver diagnostic patient care predominantly through virtual consultations via video conferencing or phone calls.

• Act as the decision-making authority for clinical inquiries received during after-hours and weekends.

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and document the physical and psychosocial health conditions of patients.

• Conduct and document physical examinations and patient medical histories.

• Review patient trends and create, document, and execute management plans.

• Offer health education, referrals to physicians, case management referrals, and counseling for patients and families.

• Gather and assess comprehensive and targeted health data from patients and their families.

• Collaborate with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals regarding health data and compliance with guidelines.

• Utilize telemedicine to ensure optimal patient outcomes and work alongside on-call primary care providers.

• Improve telehealth practices and systems using data on program effectiveness.

• Communicate through various formats, tools, and technologies to provide care.

• Engage in clinical rounds, conferences, quality and risk management initiatives, and other relevant meetings.

• Contribute to the development of telehealth policies, procedures, and protocols.

• Initiate and engage in quality improvement efforts.

• Coordinate services with other programs while providing feedback to enhance patient care.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) and a graduate from a nursing school for Advanced Practice Nursing with specialization certification is required.

• A Master's degree in Nursing is mandatory.

• Board certification from AANP or ANCC is required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is necessary upon hire.

• A Compact multistate Nursing license is required.

• Multistate APRN licensure including Florida and at least two licenses from VA, GA, MI, MO, OH, PA, TN, TX, IL, KY, and LA is required.

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in acute, primary, or urgent care clinical work as a Nurse Practitioner is required.

• At least 2 years of telehealth experience is preferred.

• Advanced knowledge of medical practices and essential job-related functions.

• Technical proficiency to conduct telemedicine visits in compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% for meetings and training purposes.

• Willingness and ability to travel to Georgia or other states for onsite observation and medical record review.

• Availability to work evenings, overnight shifts, and weekends based on the assigned schedule.

• Minimum requirement to work four holidays during the calendar year.

• Fluency in spoken and written English.

• Willingness and ability to obtain independent/autonomous practice as a Nurse Practitioner in applicable states.
