This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist patients in navigating AdaptHealth by employing a patient-focused approach and effective communication skills.
• Address patient requirements and deliver an outstanding customer or patient experience.
• Partner with patients to foster positive health outcomes while offering suitable products and services.
• Dispatch letters to patients when direct contact is unsuccessful.
• Respond to patient inquiries via email promptly and follow up on emails and phone calls until resolution.
• Maintain professional communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Suggest equipment that can enhance the quality of care provided.
• Diagnose concentrator and other equipment issues over the phone.
• Verify or gather alternative contact details, delivery addresses, instructions, and phone numbers.
• Assess documentation for accuracy before processing orders.
• Choose cost-effective delivery methods and appropriate order-routing locations.
• Record delivery expectations, requests, and patient or family interactions using standardized note formats.
• Direct non-care-team orders to the suitable department or regional branch.
• Process orders received through CMB, email, fax, or phone efficiently.
• Identify trends in systems or processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and generate cost savings.
• Contribute to departmental and organizational objectives by assisting colleagues with call schedules and assigned tasks.
• Engage in team initiatives, mentoring, and training activities.
• Create and maintain reference materials for staff and promote information sharing.
• Elevate patient concerns to a supervisor when necessary.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• One (1) year of relevant work experience in healthcare administration, financial services, insurance customer services, claims, billing, call centers, or management, regardless of the industry.
• For senior-level positions, two (2) years of relevant work experience and one (1) year of specific job experience are required.
• Specific job experience encompasses tasks within a Medicare-certified HME, Diabetic, Pharmacy, or home medical supplies environment that routinely bills insurance.
• Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Robust organizational capabilities and a strong ability to follow through on tasks.
• Capacity to work independently and adhere to detailed instructions.
• Ability to identify weaknesses in current systems and processes, monitor results, and propose innovative solutions.
• Skill in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Technical proficiency to comprehend data flow through systems and system interactions.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
