This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Perform numerous telephonic hearings on a daily basis
• Gather testimony and issue evidentiary rulings
• Create a comprehensive record of each hearing
• Guide the proceedings while upholding a judicial demeanor
• Review case documentation in advance
• Ensure all parties receive appropriate legal notifications
• Compose and release final decisions in accordance with federal and Arizona law in a prompt manner
• Background as an administrative hearing officer is essential
• Possession of a doctoral degree; a JD meets this criterion
• Capability to articulate complex legal matters clearly in writing
• Familiarity with evidence rules, administrative procedures, and judicial ethics
• Exceptional time management skills when faced with tight deadlines
• A writing sample must be submitted with the application
• Candidates must be new; those who have previously applied for an Arizona Administrative Law Judge position through any agency will be automatically disqualified
• W2 employment only; no C2C arrangements
• Sponsorship is not available
• Current city of residence must be included on the resume
• Fully remote work environment
• Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM Arizona business hours
• W2 employment structure
• Virtual desktop access available for candidates located out of state
