Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Manage losses or claims on a regional basis independently, up to $10M.

• Address intricate adjustment matters related to damages and coverage.

• Support larger loss cases while overseeing smaller and less complex National Accounts.

• Review claim forms and documentation to assess insurance coverage.

• Administer and reconcile complicated catastrophic property claims.

• Conduct interviews, phone calls, or correspondence with claimants and witnesses.

• Consult police and hospital records while evaluating property damage.

• Assess the extent of company liability and implement suitable investigation techniques.

• Estimate costs for repairs, replacements, or compensations.

• Compile findings reports and engage in settlement negotiations.

• Suggest litigation when negotiations for settlements are unsuccessful.

• Participate in litigation hearings.

• Adjust case reserves to accommodate anticipated costs.

• Generate loss experience reports and calculate appropriate future rates.

• Collaborate with excess carriers regarding coverage, excess insurance limits, and potential reimbursements.

• Execute other assigned responsibilities.

• Travel as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• IIA-AIC designation is required.

• Actively pursuing another professional insurance designation is essential.

• A valid state adjuster license is mandatory.

• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience is required.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.

• Proficient in PC usage, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong customer service capabilities.

• Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.

• Effective time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team.

• Must meet or exceed Performance Competencies.

• Capacity to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

• Must be capable of kneeling, squatting, or bending.

• Ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions, whether hot or cold.

• Skills to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and reach/work overhead.

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

• Capable of pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds.

• Must be able to drive for up to 4 hours daily.

• Ongoing use of manual dexterity is required.

• Good hearing, vision, and speaking abilities.
