This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Deliver and facilitate engaging, high-quality online courses within the Master’s in Social Work (MSW) Program utilizing the Canvas Learning Management System.
• Maintain a proactive and supportive presence in the virtual classroom, ensuring responses to student inquiries are made within 24–48 hours.
• Provide prompt and constructive feedback on assignments, submitting grades in accordance with set deadlines.
• Foster student engagement through meaningful discussions, reflective practices, and collaborative learning strategies that promote academic success.
• Identify students who may be facing academic challenges and refer them to the appropriate institutional support services.
• Collaborate with faculty peers to assess, refine, and enhance course content to align with program objectives and academic standards.
• Complete mandatory faculty onboarding, adjunct training modules, and actively participate in scheduled adjunct and all-faculty meetings.
• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited institution is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in social work practice is essential.
• Proven ability to teach undergraduate courses in an online format utilizing a Learning Management System (e.g., Canvas).
• Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to cultural responsiveness.
• Experience engaging with diverse student populations.
• Previous experience teaching at the graduate level, particularly in online or hybrid settings.
• Proficiency in Canvas LMS, Microsoft Office Suite, and various online teaching tools.
• A PhD in Social Work or a closely related field and/or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential is preferred.
• Familiarity with Pacific Oaks pedagogy and the integration of social responsibility within business education.
