Adjunct Professor – Biostatistics, Immunology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Provide online instruction in Biostatistics and Immunology through accelerated eight-week courses using Canvas.

• Create and maintain course materials, including lectures, lecture notes, learning objectives, PowerPoint presentations, syllabi, and assessments.

• Design and implement examinations and other assessments to gauge student learning and the attainment of course objectives.

• Foster an engaging and supportive online learning atmosphere by utilizing innovative instructional strategies and effective teaching practices.

• Offer academic guidance, mentorship, and prompt feedback to students.

• Engage in curriculum development, review, and evaluation activities.

• Collaborate with program leadership and faculty to promote academic objectives and student success.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. or an equivalent terminal degree in the relevant field.

• Proven knowledge and expertise in Biostatistics and Immunology.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and effectively within a remote instructional setting.

• Proficient in technology and digital tools utilized in online education.

• Prior experience teaching in an online or asynchronous educational environment is preferred.

• Experience with Canvas or a similar Learning Management System is preferred.

• Preference for candidates with experience teaching accelerated courses at the graduate level.

• Demonstrated capacity to create engaging online instructional materials and assessments is preferred.

• Final candidates must complete a criminal history record check and, if applicable, a financial and/or motor vehicle history check.
