Adjunct Instructor – Microsoft Azure Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Facilitate synchronous online classes using Microsoft Teams every Monday and Tuesday.

• Design and structure lessons to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

• Adapt teaching methods and approaches to cater to the diverse needs of students.

• Convey subject matter effectively through an online synchronous format.

• Exhibit comprehensive and precise knowledge of the subject area.

• Relate the subject matter to interconnected fields.

• Keep abreast of developments in the field through professional development, attendance at professional organizations, meetings, conferences, and workshops.

• Ensure adherence to accreditation standards, scheduled class times, and CIAT policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with colleagues and engage in innovative projects and initiatives.

• Promote an inclusive and supportive educational atmosphere.

• Provide engaging and effective lesson plans.

• Work in partnership with colleagues, academic departments, and administration to foster student success and achieve institutional objectives.

• Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Official transcripts demonstrating a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current certifications in the subject area being taught.

• Current certifications required: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Azure Cloud Administration, and Azure Cloud Security.

• Minimum of three years of experience in the relevant field OR two years of teaching experience.

• Advanced knowledge in the subject area is preferred.

• Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with field advancements.

• Experience with synchronous online teaching is preferred.

• Excellent presentation, communication, and technological skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canvas.

• Capability to work independently with limited supervision.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Availability to teach synchronous online courses on Mondays and Tuesdays.

• Must be available for live classes on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM Pacific Time.

• Must adhere to college policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable Federal, State, accreditation, and institutional requirements.

• Must ensure data security and confidentiality while using secure connections.

• Must maintain a safe and ergonomic home office setup.
