This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Uphold a robust academic presence and engage in professional development through teaching, scholarly or creative endeavors, and service.
• Report directly to and collaborate with the department chair's leadership.
• Professionally interact with students.
• Create a safe and effective learning environment.
• Address student inquiries and reach out to inactive students as necessary.
• Evaluate course functionality and content to guarantee high-quality delivery.
• Tailor course material using professional experiences and insights.
• Oversee assignments and provide feedback to students in accordance with college policies.
• Compile and present student performance data.
• Adhere to and support program and institutional policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Assist students in understanding ethical conduct, including plagiarism and copyright regulations.
• Guide students towards additional resources.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and college leadership, including attending mandatory meetings.
• Advocate for the college's vision, mission, and culture.
• Keep abreast of professional and technical knowledge related to curricula and the industry.
• Engage in educational workshops and seminars, review professional literature, build networks, and take part in professional organizations.
• Stay informed about emerging departmental issues and trends.
• Promote and support research to ensure the quality of programs and course offerings.
• Possession of a terminal degree and experience in Leadership, Higher Education, Research, or Community College.
• Over 1 year of experience in teaching and leadership within a formal educational environment using both traditional and non-traditional teaching methods.
• Preference for candidates with higher education teaching experience.
• Proven experience in developing online/virtual professional relationships.
• Documentation of professional research and/or creative projects and expertise in the field.
• High attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively with departmental personnel.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure.
• Must support and align with the College's Impact mission.
• Minimum internet bandwidth requirement of 50Mbps download and 5Mbps upload.
• Candidates must not reside in Alaska, Washington D.C., Massachusetts, South Dakota, or Alabama.
