Adjunct Faculty – MS in Water Utilities Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Instruct WMGT 620 Capital Planning and Asset Management within the MS in Water Utilities Management graduate program.

• Complete Xavier's 6-week Introduction to Online Course Design course starting in January 2027.

• Develop the course beginning in January 2027, with a launch scheduled for August 2027.

• Facilitate a 7-week fully online, asynchronous course.

• Respond to student emails promptly.

• Conduct virtual meetings with students.

• Maintain ongoing communication with students throughout the course.

• Engage with students in discussion boards and assignments.

• Assess assignments in a timely manner.

• Incorporate utility finance, rate setting, and operational fundamentals into long-term capital planning and asset management strategies.

• Assist students in assessing infrastructure condition, risk, and lifecycle costs to prioritize investments and formulate capital improvement plans.

• Ensure alignment of capital planning with financial capacity, rate impacts, regulatory requirements, and service level objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree or higher in the relevant discipline.

• Outstanding proven experience, demonstrated through publications or public acknowledgment.

• Examples of proven experience may include 5 years of expertise in the subject matter along with professional publications, accolades, credentials, or other notable contributions pertinent to the graduate curriculum.

• Commitment to graduate-level teaching and a track record of excellence in the relevant field.

• Submission of a cover letter, curriculum vitae/resume, Teaching Statement, and contact details of three professional references.

• Teaching Statement should reflect the candidate's vision for delivering the course at Xavier University.
