Adjunct Faculty – Introduction to Psychology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver educational experiences in classroom, online, and/or laboratory environments under the guidance of the Dean of General Education.

• Utilize lectures, demonstrations, audiovisual materials, and technological tools.

• Adhere to a set curriculum/syllabus while maintaining student engagement.

• Foster a positive learning environment and communicate clear educational objectives.

• Achieve course and institution-wide student performance benchmarks.

• Oversee student conduct in classroom and online settings.

• Observe and assess student performance.

• Identify and refer at-risk students to the Student Success Coordinator.

• Offer student advisement and academic guidance through tutoring and mentoring.

• Evaluate tests and projects, maintain grade records, track attendance, and handle administrative responsibilities.

• Administer oral, written, or performance assessments.

• Engage in conferences, seminars, training sessions, educational in-services, and professional development opportunities.

• Contribute to and take part in academic committees.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution acknowledged by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) is required.

• At least 15 credit hours or equivalent in the relevant subject area is necessary.

• For positions in Georgia, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia: a Master’s degree in the field, or a Master’s degree in any discipline coupled with 18 semester credit hours of graduate coursework pertinent to the subject area.

• Two years of hands-on experience in the course content area with a related degree, or three years of practical experience if the degree is in an unrelated field is required.

• A minimum of three years of experience as an educator is preferred.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
