This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Facilitate a learning environment in the classroom, online, and/or in the lab under the guidance of the Dean of General Education.
• Implement lectures, demonstrations, audiovisual materials, and technological tools to enhance presentations.
• Assess student achievements and performance levels.
• Maintain student engagement while adhering to the established curriculum/syllabus.
• Foster a positive educational atmosphere and clearly communicate objectives for learning activities.
• Achieve course and institutional student performance targets.
• Oversee student behavior in the classroom/online settings.
• Recognize and refer at-risk students to the Student Success Coordinator.
• Offer student advisement and academic counseling through tutoring and mentoring.
• Evaluate tests and projects, maintain grade records, track attendance, and handle administrative tasks.
• Conduct oral, written, or performance assessments.
• Engage in conferences, seminars, training sessions, educational in-services, distance education in-service, and professional development activities.
• Contribute to and take part in academic committees.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• A Master's degree or higher from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) is required.
• At least 15 credit hours or equivalent in the designated subject area is required.
• States such as Georgia, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia necessitate a Master’s degree in the discipline OR a Master’s degree (any discipline) coupled with 18 semester credit hours of graduate coursework pertinent to the discipline.
• A minimum of two years of practical experience in the relevant course content area with a related degree, or three years of practical experience if the degree is in an unrelated field is required.
• Preferably, a minimum of three years of experience as an educator.
• Proficient ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
