Adjunct Faculty – Graduate Nursing, PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Teach and facilitate impactful learning aligned with the course outcomes in the curriculum.

• Support all aspects of the educational environment.

• Deliver learning-centered, competency-based instruction in accordance with South University curricula and delivery systems.

• Create and implement class instruction through instructional plans, engaging learning activities, and approved course delivery methods.

• Encourage student success by setting performance standards and assessing learning outcomes.

• Cultivate a classroom atmosphere that is conducive to learning and active student participation.

• Enhance student success through a flexible teaching approach, a passion for education, and high levels of student engagement.

• Keep accurate records, submit grades and reports punctually, and uphold academic and attendance policies.

• Participate in curriculum and system task forces, campus events, workshops, and meetings.

• Incorporate professional, life, and industry experiences into courses while staying informed about industry trends.

• Uphold the reputation of academic programs, departments, and colleges while adhering to university administration guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or a PhD in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification is mandatory.

• One to five years of instructional or formal educational experience, preferably in a post-secondary or college setting.

• Strong preference for experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to foster successful relationships with student populations.

• Excellent conflict resolution abilities.

• Proven time management skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in computer skills, including software applications, analytical capabilities, and report writing.

• Capability to maintain required office hours and respond promptly to student inquiries and administrative requests.

• Willingness to operate in an accelerated learning environment, engaging with students online five out of seven days each week.

• Openness to attending mandatory meetings as specified by the respective department.

• Preferred membership in a professional association relevant to the area of instruction.
