Acute Care Operations Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborate as a member of the multidisciplinary Acute Care team to ensure proper dispatching of the Mobile Integrated Care team.

• Support clinicians in effectively caring for patients.

• Act as a scheduler for the Acute Care Team.

• Coordinate the dispatch of in-house Pediatric Home Care Specialists and partner Mobile Integrated Healthcare resources.

• Track Home Care Specialist locations using Axle to ensure safety.

• Organize chats for Home Care Specialists and providers for in-home visits.

• Facilitate communication among healthcare clinicians via Microsoft Teams.

• Verify eligibility through relevant health plan portals and confirm insurance in Athena.

• Work alongside intake and triage clinicians to respond to inbound phone calls, text messages, and requests through CareHub, NotifyMD, and OnPage.

• Connect patients with the appropriate care team.

• Assist care teams with administrative tasks related to patient care.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare organization is required; dispatch experience is a plus.

• At least 2 years of telephonic communication experience with patients and/or families is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with multiple clinical and/or dispatch systems is required.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
