Actuarial SME – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Convert actuarial procedures and non-functional requirements into well-defined platform specifications.

• Assess the appropriateness of solutions in accordance with business, control, and operational demands.

• Act as a representative for the specialized business area during workshops, design meetings, and governance discussions.

• Analyze the effects of processes and data throughout the comprehensive solution.

• Confirm assumptions, requirements, controls, and outputs.

• Assist in prioritization, testing, issue resolution, and formal business approval.

• Collaborate with business subject matter experts, technology, data, and testing teams to ensure alignment with the intended solution.

• Contribute to a transformation initiative within a large life and pensions organization.

• Help develop the Foundation platform (Core Enablement) capabilities and ensure the solution is robust, controlled, and appropriate for its intended use.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in actuarial processes, platform modifications, or business transformation within the financial services sector.

• Proficiency in converting business and non-functional requirements into platform or solution specifications.

• Capability to evaluate process, data, and control implications in complex environments.

• Experience in supporting testing, business acceptance, and resolving issues.

• Background in representing a subject matter domain in design and governance settings.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.

• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.

• Competence in challenging assumptions and effectively validating requirements.

• Comfort in navigating a complex, regulated, enterprise-scale environment.

• Availability until January 2027.
