Actuarial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct analysis and forecasts of financial, economic, and other relevant data to guide strategic and operational decisions.

• Set up metrics and deliver data analyses to bolster business intelligence initiatives.

• Assess industry, economic, financial, and market trends to anticipate short-, medium-, and long-term financial and competitive positions.

• Assist in the forecasting and modeling of Medicare claims.

• Design and implement processes and controls around data flow to guarantee data integrity.

• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to comprehend business needs and challenges.

• Diagnose issues and perform root cause analysis.

• Create cost-effective solutions for data irregularities.

• Apply departmental, segment, and organizational strategies and operational goals to tasks.

• Make decisions on work methods in ambiguous situations with little guidance.

• Adhere to set guidelines and procedures.

• Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training or meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree is required.

• Successful completion of a minimum of 3 actuarial exams is necessary.

• Proven ability to communicate ideas effectively in both written and verbal formats.

• Flexibility to align work schedule with Eastern Time Zone.

• A minimum home internet download speed of 25 Mbps is required.

• A minimum home internet upload speed of 10 Mbps is required.

• Work from a designated space free from ongoing interruptions to safeguard member PHI / HIPAA information.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and Power BI (preferred).

• Familiarity with Databricks and its application in data analytics, modeling, and forecasting (preferred).
