Activism and Outreach Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Paraguay.

📋 Description

• Oversee WWF's Panda Ambassador Program, which includes recruitment, vetting candidates, onboarding, and providing project guidance.

• Create and execute recruitment strategies aimed at attracting highly engaged candidates.

• Organize resources such as toolkits, project templates, and educational materials utilizing Airtable and Canva.

• Conduct monthly calls with Panda Ambassadors and enhance community involvement through updates, recognitions, and challenges.

• Enhance participation in the Panda Ambassador online community platform.

• Ensure that Ambassador activities align with broader campaign narratives.

• Investigate and suggest best practices, innovative technologies, tools, and strategies.

• Assist in the planning and execution of Activism & Outreach events, including the annual Lobby Day, expert panel discussions, and mobilizations.

• Oversee the annual Youth Conservation Leadership Award application process, including review and engagement with awardees.

• Coordinate and execute WWF's activism social media strategy.

• Produce content, schedule posts, and collaborate on organizational channels for the @WWF_Act Instagram account.

• Monitor and report on engagement metrics while providing data-driven insights.

• Carry out additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.

• At least 4 years of pertinent experience.

• Proven experience in online advocacy or activism.

• Skilled in Canva and Airtable.

• Expertise in creating social media content for Instagram and X/Twitter.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).

• Ability to convey complex scientific concepts to general audiences effectively.

• Exceptional proactive communication skills and prompt responsiveness.

• Capability to promote collaboration across various departments.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

• Consistent ability to meet deadlines.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
