
ACL Lab Writing Coach – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct individual online writing consultations and review papers for students enrolled in the Resident Education Program (REP), Distance Education Program (DEP), Blended Education Program (BEP), Basic Strategic Arts Program (BSAP), and AWC Fellows Program.
• Offer constructive feedback and guidance on academic papers and research projects, focusing on pre-writing strategies, argumentation, organization, style, grammar, and mechanics.
• Provide remote support to the Army War College in the capacity of an ACL Lab Writing Coach.
• Successfully clear a background check.
• Hold at least a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in English, rhetoric, communication studies, or another closely related field.
• Demonstrate proficiency in English.
• Have experience tutoring students in writing within an academic environment.
• Possess at least a foundational understanding of writing center scholarship, theories, and practices.
• Exhibit proven experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365.
• Show capability in performing word processing and data entry tasks related to assessing and electronically annotating student writing submissions, as well as maintaining records of correspondence and consultations.
• Preferably have substantial experience teaching English as a Second Language students.
