Accounts Receivable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Approve Sales Orders synced from Salesforce, ensuring accuracy against order forms.

• Review invoicing prior to sending to customers and ensure tax compliance utilizing Avalara.

• Configure Placer as a vendor within third-party portals.

• Upload electronic invoices via customer procurement platforms such as Ariba and Coupa.

• Submit tax exemption certificates to Avalara.

• Assist with the billing email inbox, responding to both internal and external inquiries.

• Resolve discrepancies related to billing and invoicing.

• Stratify collection activities to optimize cash receipts.

• Generate dunning letters for overdue accounts.

• Reach out to customers regarding overdue accounts and ascertain reasons for non-payment.

• Disable platform access when payment is deemed unlikely.

• Issue notifications for credit holds.

• Recommend accounts for referral to collection agencies.

• Suggest write-offs for bad debts.

• Maintain precise records of customer interactions.

• Conduct ad hoc Accounting/Finance projects.

• Collaborate with sales operations, customer success, deal desk, and other departments on billing and revenue inquiries.

• Identify opportunities to enhance or replace the Virtual Post Mail process.

• Perform month-end reconciliations between Salesforce and NetSuite.

• Provide documentation for both internal and external audits.

• Assist the technical accounting/revenue team with daily tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• AA Degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Over 2 years of experience in collections, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable.

• Proficient in utilizing Salesforce and NetSuite.

• Familiarity with E-invoicing platforms such as Ariba, Coupa, etc.

• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing projects.

• Capable of proactively communicating effectively across departments in a remote setting while meeting deliverable deadlines.

• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with customer service abilities.

• Understanding of the entire order to cash lifecycle from quote signing and contracting to collections.

• Knowledge of tax platforms like Avalara or similar systems.
