This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Efficiently process and apply customer payments in a timely and precise manner, encompassing checks, electronic transfers, and credit card transactions.
• Prepare and distribute invoices and monthly account statements to customers.
• Monitor accounts for overdue balances and proactively follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments through phone calls, emails, and written communication.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies related to payments and billing inquiries.
• Maintain accurate and current records for accounts receivable, including customer contact details and payment histories.
• Prepare and post journal entries pertinent to accounts receivable.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts receivable balances.
• Generate and analyze aging reports for accounts receivable.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer billing concerns.
• Support internal and external audits as required.
• Execute other related responsibilities as assigned.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• An associate's degree in accounting or a related discipline is preferred.
• Two to three years of experience in accounts receivable or a comparable accounting position is necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel (including spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis).
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes is essential.
• Exceptional accuracy in data entry and keen attention to detail are crucial.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, allowing for effective task prioritization and deadline adherence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interactions with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• A commitment to detail and accuracy is vital.
• Experience in the hospitality or real estate development sectors is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
