Accounts Receivable Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Generate and issue invoices to sponsors and clients, detailing services rendered, reimbursements for pass-through costs, and grants.

• Support the preparation, upkeep, and reconciliation of billing, accounts receivable, and associated reports.

• Reconcile unbilled services, reimbursable expenses, and deferred revenue or advance expenses listed on the balance sheet.

• Ensure compliance evidence for pass-through expenses aligns with internal policies and client specifications.

• Detect process inefficiencies and facilitate prompt resolution in collaboration with the supervisor.

• Handle vendor invoices and credit notes, covering coding, fixed assets, prepayments, VAT, and other applicable taxes.

• Reconcile supplier statements and address any discrepancies.

• Address vendor inquiries, escalating issues as necessary.

• Provide compliance proof for payable documents in accordance with internal policies and client standards.

• Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of accounts payable aging, unposted or unapproved transactions, and related reports.

• Aid in annual corporate external audits and statutory corporate tax submissions.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in a numerate discipline is preferred, or a relevant degree (or equivalent) combined with a minimum of 1 year of experience in finance or accounting.

• Proficient in using financial software applications and databases.

• Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Proficiency in all other MS Office applications.

• Fluency in the English language.

• Excellent organizational and self-motivational abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and comply with deadlines.

• Thorough understanding of best business practices related to the role.

• Commitment to continuously enhancing processes and internal controls.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Initiative-driven mindset.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with all management levels.

• Capacity to work effectively under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
