This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Assess portfolio aging and implement the collection strategy.
• Track customer payment patterns utilizing SAP reporting tools and share insights during weekly reviews and monthly metrics updates.
• Determine the reasons for invoice, payment, or account discrepancies and direct issues to the relevant department.
• Document, monitor, and resolve invoice discrepancies or disputes in the Account Log.
• Inform the Credit Department of accounts facing financial challenges.
• Raise concerns regarding changes in customer payment trends and other payment-related issues.
• Comprehend unapplied and unallocated cash as well as account reconciliations.
• Execute assigned tasks in accordance with Viatris internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Acquire knowledge of customer policies and procedures pertaining to Collections and Credit.
• Follow up with customers to confirm timely receipt of payments.
• Record, track, and oversee customer payments and address inquiries, including Statements of Account and invoice copies.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of information utilized in calculations and reporting.
• Reconcile payment variances and trends, including the collection of deductions.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders and communicate the status of lower-complexity customer accounts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience, ideally in Accounts Receivable, Accounting, or Finance.
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable processes and a computerized accounting environment.
• Preferred experience with SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
• Capability to analyze, summarize, and effectively present large volumes of data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels and with customers.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Competence in identifying root causes, resolving issues, and escalating matters appropriately when necessary.
• Proficiency in preparing reports, business correspondence, and presentations.
• Ability to perform basic calculations, including percentages, ratios, and rates.
