Accounts Payable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Process and accurately code vendor invoices.

• Review bills to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper authorization.

• Input and maintain accounts payable data within the accounting system.

• Disburse payments to vendors in line with corporate policies.

• Reconcile vendor statements effectively.

• Address and resolve disputes related to invoices and payments.

• Provide administrative support, reporting, and reconciliations to the finance team.

• Assist with cost reporting and handling employee reimbursements.

• Communicate with vendors regarding the status of invoices and payments.

• Aid in month-end and year-end accounting tasks.

• Maintain organized electronic files for correspondence, bills, and payments.

• Ensure confidentiality of commercial and financial information.

• Report any unusual transactions and irregularities.

• Implement the company's financial policies, procedures, and controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, accounts payable, or a related finance area.

• Understanding of fundamental accounting principles.

• Experience with ERP or accounting systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capable of multi-tasking and managing deadlines and priorities effectively.

• Self-motivated individual with the ability to work remotely.

• Skilled in handling accurate and confidential financial information.

• Experience in a SaaS or technology-focused company.

• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems and accounts payable automation.

• Higher education degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.

• Proven experience working within multi-disciplinary teams.
