This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support to the PO Follow Up team for General Motors.
• Analyze existing purchase orders and pinpoint unresolved items that need attention.
• Collaborate with plants, suppliers, requestors, and buyers to close and resolve open POs.
• Investigate and address discrepancies related to purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Follow up on pending purchase orders to ensure prompt resolution of outstanding issues.
• Review accounts payable transactions for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established procedures.
• Communicate with internal departments, suppliers, and other stakeholders about invoice and PO-related concerns.
• Keep precise records and documentation concerning purchase orders and accounts payable operations.
• Assist in reconciling and resolving discrepancies among purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
• Generate reports and conduct audits to guarantee data accuracy and timely resolution of outstanding issues.
• Monitor assigned tasks and follow up on aging or unresolved items.
• Uphold the confidentiality of company, supplier, and financial information.
• Maintain a high standard of accuracy, professionalism, and customer service.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in accounts payable, purchasing, procurement, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and purchase order protocols.
• Preferred experience in reviewing and analyzing open purchase orders and resolving discrepancies.
• Exceptional data entry, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to effectively communicate with plants, suppliers, requestors, buyers, and internal business partners.
• Capable of independently researching issues and following through to resolution.
• Must pass an internet speed test (download speed of 25 Mbps or higher, upload speed of 5 Mbps or higher, and Ping response of 175 ms or lower).
• Must have the ability to connect to a modem/router via an ethernet cable.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Candidates must reside in an eligible US state; hiring is not currently available in AK, AZ, CA, CT, CO, HI, IL, MA, MD, ME, MO, MT, NE, NJ, NY, RI, OR, VT, WA, or listed metro areas.
