Accounting Specialist, Digital Back Office, Tax Clerk

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Manage independent accounts payable and accounts receivable bookkeeping for businesses preparing financial statements as well as those utilizing the income-surplus calculation (EÜR).

• Establish and evaluate accounting systems for clients.

• Engage confidently and autonomously with clients, offices, and authorities.

• Organize deadlines and appointments for the client portfolio and coordinate tasks accordingly.

• Perform administrative duties such as managing email inboxes, conducting research, and preparing analyses.

• Prepare accounting-related filings, including OSS reports, recapitulative statements (ZM), and VAT returns (USt-VA).

• Ensure the completeness of supporting documentation and verify accurate data transmission through systems and interfaces.

• Manage monthly or quarterly closings and prepare for year-end closing.

• Contribute to the enhancement of internal processes and share your expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Successfully completed commercial training (e.g., tax clerk or certified accountant) or equivalent education or further training.

• Several years of professional experience in accounting, including for businesses that prepare financial statements.

• Proficient in accounting software such as DATEV, Agenda, or Addison.

• Quick to grasp and implement digital processes.

• Ideally, experience in preparing annual financial statements for tax advisors.

• Enjoy interacting with clients and possess a strong service-oriented mindset.

• Independent and structured approach to work.

• Hands-on mentality.

• Willingness to operate 100% digitally and without paper.
