Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Deliver financial transactional assistance for the Chick-fil-A program utilizing Samsung Electronics America’s project-based Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) accounting model.

• Act as the subject matter expert on WBS procedures used within the Chick-fil-A program.

• Provide support for additional transactional processes related to direct-to-customer sales between Samsung’s Software and Solutions team and end customers.

• Design and input projects into NERP while ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and specific customer requirements.

• Oversee and communicate accounts receivable for CFA/Insight.

• Manage and communicate vendor accounts payable.

• Reconcile project, customer, and vendor accounts.

• Engage with customers and vendors to comprehend and resolve transactional issues.

• Facilitate the execution of non-CFA direct account processes.

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and take part in initiatives to boost transactional efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in accounting and administration, including billing, collections, payables, and other accounting-related functions.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred, or substantial prior experience.

• Proficient in advanced Excel/Spreadsheet skills.

• Familiarity with SAP/NERP systems.

• Knowledge of PO and Order Entry processes.

• Experience in PUMI creation.

• Self-driven with a proven ability to think and work autonomously.

• Proven capability to engage with individuals at all levels within Samsung and customer organizations.

• Competence in planning, organizing, and prioritizing multiple accounting responsibilities with follow-up.

• Ability to deliver professional accounting presentations in writing, via email, in reports, or orally.

• Capability to assist other Samsung teams in achieving customer contracted accounting goals.

• Work is typically conducted in an office setting.

• Ability to operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal for more than 80% of the work time.

• Requires significant visual acuity, attention to detail, ability to distinguish numbers/characters, and moderate hand/finger dexterity.

• Ability to function under time constraints and periodic or cyclical stress, including time-sensitive deadlines and billing/payment cycles.

• May necessitate working additional hours beyond the standard schedule.

• Travel is infrequent but occasionally necessary.
