Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Assist hotel clients in Latin America with comprehensive accounting onboarding, which includes mapping the chart of accounts, configuring taxes, setting up revenue recognition, establishing reconciliation workflows, and ensuring compliance with country-specific e-invoicing regulations.

• Convert clients' business processes into accurately configured environments within Cloudbeds.

• Facilitate integrations between Cloudbeds and various third-party accounting platforms and ERPs, such as QuickBooks, Xero, M3, NetSuite, and regional accounting systems in Latin America.

• Address issues related to accounting discrepancies, integration sync problems, and configuration inquiries.

• Act as the internal expert on accounting practices within the Latin American hospitality sector and ensure adherence to regional fiscal regulations.

• Assist in the creation of onboarding documentation and resources that exemplify best practices for hospitality accounting workflows across Latin America.

• Work collaboratively with Product and Engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and influence the development roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of direct accounting or bookkeeping experience, specifically in the hotel or hospitality sector — mandatory.

• Demonstrated expertise in configuring or supporting integrations between hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and accounting or ERP software (such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, M3, or similar).

• In-depth understanding of the fiscal and e-invoicing regulations of at least one Latin American country, with a general awareness of the broader region.

• Excellent verbal communication skills with a strong ability to engage directly with hotel clients and their accounting teams through phone and video interactions on a daily basis.

• Proficiency in both Spanish and English — a strict requirement.

• Ability to navigate SaaS platforms and rapidly adopt new tools with minimal guidance.

• A strong analytical approach, capable of tracing data flows, identifying mapping issues, and methodically troubleshooting integration challenges.

• Must be authorized to work in the location of the position without the need for visa sponsorship.
