Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Assist customers throughout the complete onboarding process for Cloudbeds' accounting and financial functionalities, which encompass chart of accounts mapping, tax setup, revenue recognition configuration, and reconciliation workflows.

• Comprehend each customer's distinct business operations, such as night audits, folio management, accounts receivable, and month-end close, to effectively configure the Cloudbeds environment.

• Aid customers in linking Cloudbeds with third-party accounting software and ERPs through native integrations and partner solutions.

• Resolve accounting discrepancies, integration synchronization challenges, and configuration inquiries.

• Contribute to the development of onboarding documentation, instructional guides, and best-practice materials for hospitality accounting workflows.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to convey customer insights, pinpoint recurring issues, and assist in shaping the product roadmap.

• Act as a subject matter expert in hospitality bookkeeping and accounting practices for both internal teams and customers.

• Partner with the Onboarding Project Manager or Sales team as necessary to assist customers with accounting and financial features or the entire onboarding process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of direct hotel accounting experience (required; adjacent hospitality accounting experience is not acceptable).

• Solid understanding of accounting principles: general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, revenue recognition, reconciliation, and financial reporting.

• Experience with PMS-to-accounting integrations (required) and familiarity with Carmen Accounting (required).

• Tech-savvy: adept at navigating SaaS platforms and rapidly learning new software tools.

• Excellent customer-facing communication skills: capable of simplifying complex accounting concepts for non-technical accountants, and translating accountant requirements for technical teams, all while maintaining a customer-first approach.

• Strong analytical abilities: skilled at tracing data flows, identifying mapping issues, and methodically troubleshooting integration problems.

• Fluent in both Thai and English; able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across global time zones.

• Currently authorized to work in Thailand without the need for visa sponsorship.
