Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Assist hotel clients from Latin America with comprehensive accounting onboarding, which includes mapping chart of accounts, configuring tax settings, setting up revenue recognition, managing reconciliation workflows, and ensuring compliance with country-specific e-invoicing regulations.

• Convert customer business processes, such as night audits, folio management, accounts receivable, and month-end closing, into a well-configured Cloudbeds environment.

• Facilitate integrations between Cloudbeds and various third-party accounting platforms and ERPs, including QuickBooks, Xero, M3, NetSuite, and local Latin American accounting systems.

• Resolve accounting discrepancies, integration synchronization issues, and configuration inquiries.

• Act as the in-house expert on accounting practices in the Latin American hospitality sector and ensure compliance with regional fiscal regulations.

• Contribute to the creation of onboarding documentation and best practice resources for hospitality accounting workflows tailored to Latin American markets.

• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and assist in shaping the product roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of direct accounting or bookkeeping experience in the hotel or hospitality sector — required.

• Demonstrated experience in configuring or supporting integrations between hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and accounting or ERP software (such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, M3, or similar).

• Extensive understanding of fiscal and e-invoicing requirements for at least one Latin American country, along with a working knowledge of the broader region.

• Exceptional customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with hotel clients and their accounting teams via phone and video on a daily basis.

• Fluency in both Spanish and English — a mandatory requirement.

• Ability to navigate SaaS platforms comfortably and quickly adapt to new tools with minimal guidance.

• Strong analytical skills with the capacity to trace data flows, identify mapping discrepancies, and systematically troubleshoot integration challenges.

• Must be currently authorized to work in the location of the position without requiring visa sponsorship.

• Proficiency in Portuguese is a significant advantage.

• Previous hands-on experience in hotel operations, such as front office, night audit, or revenue management — a desirable skill.

• Awareness of fiscal compliance requirements across various Latin American countries beyond the home market — a desirable skill.

• Active personal engagement with AI tools or workflow automation — a desirable skill.
