Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Assist hotel clients in Latin America with complete accounting onboarding, which encompasses chart of accounts mapping, tax setup, revenue recognition processes, reconciliation workflows, and compliance with country-specific e-invoicing regulations.

• Convert customer business operations, including night audits, folio management, accounts receivable, and month-end closing, into appropriately configured Cloudbeds environments.

• Facilitate integrations between Cloudbeds and various third-party accounting platforms and ERPs, such as QuickBooks, Xero, M3, NetSuite, and local Latin American accounting systems.

• Address and resolve accounting discrepancies, integration synchronization issues, and configuration inquiries.

• Act as the internal expert on hospitality accounting practices in Latin America and ensure adherence to regional fiscal compliance.

• Assist in the development of onboarding documentation and best-practice materials for hospitality accounting processes.

• Work collaboratively with Product and Engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and influence product development direction.

• Engage directly with hotel clients in Latin America and their accounting departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience specifically in the hotel or hospitality sector — required.

• Demonstrated experience in configuring or supporting integrations between hotel PMS and accounting or ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, M3, or similar).

• Extensive understanding of the fiscal and e-invoicing regulations of at least one Latin American country, with a general familiarity across the region.

• Exceptional communication skills for customer interactions, with confidence in engaging directly with hotel clients and their accounting teams via phone and video on a daily basis.

• Proficient in both Spanish and English; knowledge of Portuguese is a significant advantage.

• Comfortable with navigating SaaS platforms and quickly adapting to new tools with minimal guidance.

• Strong analytical skills with the capability to trace data flows, identify mapping discrepancies, and methodically troubleshoot integration challenges.

• Candidates must be currently authorized to work in Chile without the need for visa sponsorship.
