Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist hotel clients in Latin America through the complete accounting onboarding process, which includes mapping the chart of accounts, configuring tax settings, establishing revenue recognition procedures, setting up reconciliation workflows, and ensuring compliance with country-specific e-invoicing regulations.

• Convert customer business operations—such as night audits, folio management, accounts receivable, and month-end closing—into a well-configured Cloudbeds environment.

• Aid in the integration of Cloudbeds with third-party accounting platforms and ERP systems, including QuickBooks, Xero, M3, NetSuite, and various regional accounting systems in Latin America.

• Address accounting discrepancies, resolve integration synchronization issues, and answer configuration inquiries.

• Act as the internal expert on accounting practices specific to the hospitality sector in Latin America and ensure compliance with regional fiscal regulations.

• Assist in the development of onboarding documentation and best-practice resources for accounting workflows in the hospitality sector across Latin American markets.

• Work collaboratively with Product and Engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and influence product development direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of direct accounting or bookkeeping experience in the hotel or hospitality industry — mandatory.

• Demonstrated experience in configuring or supporting integrations between hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and accounting or ERP software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, M3, or similar).

• In-depth understanding of the fiscal and e-invoicing regulations of at least one Latin American country, with familiarity across the broader region.

• Excellent customer-facing communication skills with the ability to engage directly with hotel clients and their accounting teams via phone and video on a daily basis.

• Proficiency in both Spanish and English — essential requirement.

• Ability to navigate SaaS platforms and quickly adapt to new tools with little guidance.

• Strong analytical skills with the capability to trace data flows, identify mapping issues, and methodically troubleshoot integration challenges.

• Currently eligible to work in the location of the position without the need for visa sponsorship.
