Accounting Manager, GL Operations – Intercompany

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete month-end and quarter-end closing processes across global entities, ensuring prompt and accurate general ledger reporting along with consolidated financial statements.

• Oversee global intercompany operations, encompassing billing, cash settlements, transfer pricing execution, analysis of foreign exchange gains/losses, and elimination entries.

• Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Finance Data teams to transform new intercompany agreements, entity launches, and transfer pricing methodologies into scalable operational processes.

• Lead the design, implementation, and documentation of SOX-compliant internal controls throughout GL operations and intercompany processes.

• Manage strategic GL projects such as M&A integration, establishment of new entities, and enhancements to the ERP system in NetSuite.

• Enhance team capabilities by mentoring and developing direct reports, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional advancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA with over 9 years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably with public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred).

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with practical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX 404 implementation and documentation.

• Experience managing comprehensive month-end close processes across various entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidated reporting.

• Led intercompany accounting processes across multiple entities, including eliminations, FX revaluation, or global consolidations.

• Proficient in SQL, with experience in analytics tools (such as Snowflake, Looker, or similar) and ERP systems (preferably NetSuite), ideally within a fintech or cryptocurrency setting.

• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, ensuring human oversight to produce business-ready outputs and facilitate measurable improvements in workflow efficiency and quality.
