This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Supervise essential accounting operations to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all processes.
• Manage the complete accounting cycle, which includes journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and closing activities.
• Oversee various accounting functions in areas such as Cash, Accounts Payables, Intercompany transactions, Fixed Assets, Leases, and Payroll.
• Review and authorize journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and all supporting documentation.
• Maintain a robust internal control environment, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and GAAP standards.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and addressing inquiries.
• Analyze account activities, identify variances or trends, and facilitate the resolution of accounting issues.
• Recognize and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Supervise, mentor, and cultivate the development of accounting staff.
• Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, Procurement, Tax, Operations, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare presentations for senior management regarding accounting matters and updates on policies.
• Provide timely updates and recommendations concerning new pronouncements and significant transactions.
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience.
• Minimum of 13 years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• Extensive experience with the full accounting cycle.
• Proven knowledge of GAAP, accrual-based accounting, and internal control principles.
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems like Oracle PeopleSoft and Costpoint; experience with SAP is advantageous.
• Experience in automation initiatives, process optimization, or improvements within accounting operations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• CPA, CFA, CPP, or CMA designation is a plus.
• Experience in Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, and Capital Management.
• Prior experience in leading teams or managing accounting personnel.
