Accounting Manager – Controllership Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Oversee financial and management reporting tasks, including cash flow management, tax compliance, GST, budgeting, and statutory reporting.

• Prepare and evaluate annual reports, statutory accounts, and management reports.

• Conduct and review reconciliations for revenue, balance sheets, and intercompany transactions.

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements.

• Collaborate with auditors, tax agents, and external advisors.

• Identify and implement opportunities to automate, simplify, and transform financial processes.

• Utilize AI, GenAI, automation, data analytics, and technology to enhance accounting efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

• Partner with Finance Systems, Data, Engineering, and business teams to deploy technology-driven finance solutions.

• Lead or assist in process improvement and finance transformation projects.

• Convert complex accounting requirements into practical, scalable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy / Finance, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification.

• Over 8 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, consulting, or finance transformation.

• Strong technical accounting, analytical, and reconciliation capabilities.

• Experience in finance transformation, automation, or consulting is highly desirable.

• A keen interest in AI, GenAI, automation, data, and emerging financial technologies.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; experience with ERP, BI, workflow automation, or financial systems is advantageous.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.

• Ability to work independently in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.

• Detail-oriented, inquisitive, and willing to challenge the status quo.
