This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Take charge of the accounting function for the client while delivering Shared Services to various brands within their network.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes for designated entities, ensuring financial reporting is timely, accurate, and compliant with GAAP.
• Examine and authorize journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, recurring close entries, and the financial outcomes generated by the accounting team.
• Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet across multiple legal entities, which includes overseeing fixed assets, accruals, cash and credit card reconciliations, amortization, depreciation, and key P&L drivers.
• Conduct variance analysis and articulate financial results to leadership.
• Direct intercompany accounting, reconciliations, settlements, and the resolution of issues across global entities.
• Create and maintain both short- and long-term cash forecasts in collaboration with FP&A and Client Finance.
• Guide, mentor, and develop accounting personnel, typically having 2 or more direct reports.
• Work together with FP&A, Client Finance, In-Brand Finance, and Shared Services teams.
• Uphold internal controls, enforce accounting policies and procedures, and assist with audits, tax matters, and statutory reporting.
• Spearhead process improvement and automation initiatives throughout the accounting technology infrastructure.
• Assist with network-wide reporting obligations and corporate timelines.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• CPA (or equivalent) is preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting.
• At least 2 years of experience in directly managing an accounting team.
• Prior experience with consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
• Strong technical accounting expertise with extensive knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and SEC accounting and disclosure regulations, including a proficiency in researching accounting literature.
• Demonstrated ability to reconcile accounts and carry out detailed GL analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills are required (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables).
• Experience with major ERP and accounting software is preferred (e.g., Maconomy, NetSuite, Intacct, SAP, Oracle).
• Highly organized and self-motivated, with the capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet critical deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, alongside strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate across teams.
• Must be located in Latam.
