Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with colleagues across various offices and partners in Finance, Legal, IT, and Sales Operations.

• Stay updated on pertinent US GAAP and SEC changes to ensure compliance with revenue recognition procedures.

• Establish controls and assess necessary actions for adherence to ServiceNow's revenue recognition accounting protocols, including bookings and billings.

• Execute month-end closing activities, such as revenue reconciliation and management reporting.

• Assist in enhancing processes and implementing revenue reporting to streamline revenue tasks and reduce the revenue close cycle.

• Conduct documentation reviews in accordance with ASC 606 accounting standards.

• Deliver training on revenue recognition rules and policies to Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, Sales Operations, and other departments.

• Carry out contract analysis reviews to ensure accurate accounting of subscription contracts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in utilizing or critically assessing how to integrate AI into workflows, decision-making, or problem resolution.

• Over 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Familiarity with US GAAP software revenue recognition under ASC 606.

• Experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) revenue accounting is advantageous.

• A self-motivated individual capable of working independently.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft products, particularly Excel.

• Previous experience with SAP is a plus.
