Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage accounting operations, ensuring precise financial reporting and adherence to U.S. GAAP standards.

• Examine financial data and reports from various systems to verify outcomes, pinpoint discrepancies, and guarantee accurate accounting practices.

• Direct revenue recognition activities, encompassing contract analysis, performance obligations, and intricate multi-element arrangements in accordance with ASC 606.

• Prepare and review journal entries and financial statements throughout the monthly closing process.

• Assess accounting implications for new products and services, and formulate revenue recognition processes.

• Uphold robust internal controls and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and relevant accounting standards.

• Oversee external audits and assist in the preparation of audited financial statements.

• Enhance, streamline, and automate accounting processes and reporting mechanisms.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to create and implement scalable accounting solutions, systems, and processes.

• Stay informed on accounting standards and counsel management regarding pertinent updates.

• Foster the development of accounting team members and encourage teamwork.

• Maintain confidentiality while adhering to company policies, procedures, and ethical business practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

• A minimum of four years’ experience in either public or private accounting.

• Comprehensive understanding and experience with ASC 606, particularly in multi-element contracts and performance obligations.

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition principles.

• Proficient Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial/accounting systems and large datasets.

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities to identify errors, investigate discrepancies, and evaluate the reasonableness of financial outcomes.

• Capability to manage multiple projects, adhere to deadlines, and ensure follow-through.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

• Ability to convey complex financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

• Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to enhancing and simplifying processes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
