Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily accounts receivable functions, which encompass invoicing, collections, and cash application.

• Supervise accounts payable processes, handling vendor invoice management, approvals, and payment cycles.

• Take ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and closing activities.

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and related schedules.

• Ensure financial reporting is precise, timely, and adheres to GAAP standards.

• Collaborate with FP&A and leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Maintain and enhance ERP and FP&A applications to optimize accounting workflows.

• Identify avenues for automating or streamlining AR/AP and reporting processes.

• Assist with internal and external audits by providing organized documentation and clear process explanations.

• Effectively communicate financial results and issues to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (mandatory).

• A minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience.

• Proven experience in managing accounts receivable and accounts payable operations.

• Strong background in financial reporting, including month-end and period closing processes.

• Practical experience with FP&A applications and ERP systems.

• Comfort with adopting AI-driven and automated accounting solutions.

• Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial data and recognize trends or discrepancies.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying financial information to non-accountants.

• Solid understanding of GAAP.

• High attention to detail combined with strong organizational abilities.

• Experience in a SaaS, software, or technology sector (preferred).

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Sage Intacct, Acumatica, or QuickBooks (preferred).

• Previous experience in people management or team leadership (preferred).
