Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies and accounting standards.

• Manage account reconciliations, month-end closing activities, and the maintenance of the general ledger.

• Prepare and oversee cash forecasting, cash flow reports, and associated financial analyses.

• Review and reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, vendor accounts, and balance sheet accounts.

• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of financial statements and reporting packages.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams to facilitate financial decision-making.

• Ensure the implementation of proper accounting controls and procedures to maintain data integrity and compliance.

• Identify areas for enhancing efficiency and optimizing accounting workflows.

• Develop, document, and execute departmental SOPs to streamline processes and enhance scalability.

• Support audits by ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.

• Assist with various financial projects and operational initiatives as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience is required.

• Experience with Restaurant365 (R365) is essential.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, cash management, and month-end closing processes.

• Previous accounting experience in the restaurant and/or hospitality industry.

• Experience in improving or optimizing accounting department operations within a growth context.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

• High attention to detail coupled with strong organizational and analytical capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize competing deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities.
