Accounting Manager, Accounts Receivable – E-Commerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Independently manage the recording of sales invoices and revenue from B2B transactions, online marketplaces, and direct-to-consumer sales.

• Analyze specific marketplace items, including fees, returns, and chargebacks.

• Conduct systematic reconciliations of accounts and customer accounts.

• Prepare monthly VAT advance returns (USt-VA) using DATEV.

• Generate OSS (One-Stop Shop) reports for the relevant countries.

• Ensure adherence to international VAT reporting requirements.

• Actively contribute to accounts receivable month-end closing processes.

• Execute account reconciliations, accruals, and provisions.

• Utilize DATEV, AccountOne, and CountX software.

• Assist in optimizing processes and integrating data sources from marketplaces.

• Collaborate with a growing Finance team to enhance operational processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a tax clerk (all genders) or a comparable qualification in accounting.

• Strong experience with VAT, including VAT advance returns, OSS, and international VAT regulations.

• Proficiency in DATEV or similar accounting software.

• A keen interest in e-commerce and digitalization; prior experience is not mandatory.

• German language proficiency at C1 level.

• Good command of English.

• A structured and detail-oriented approach to work.

• Reliable with the ability to work independently.

• Curious and enthusiastic about learning.

• Willingness to share knowledge and collaborate openly with other teams.

• Must possess the legal right to live and work in Germany.
