Accounting Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee client relationships

• Prepare, assess, and distribute precise and timely monthly financial statements for a range of 20-40 clients

• Lead and mentor the preparer team to ensure the delivery of high-quality financials while sustaining strong client margins

• Interact with clients through Slack and email, addressing inquiries and gathering necessary information for month-end closes

• Organize and establish new accounting systems for recently onboarded clients

• Manage a portfolio of startup clients and enhance operational workflows

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting

• Solid grasp of month-end closing procedures and financial reporting

• Proven experience in reviewing the work of others, including bookkeepers or junior accountants

• Highly organized with the capacity to handle multiple clients at once

• Excellent communicator, comfortable engaging directly with founders
