Accounting Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Cultivate and manage client relationships effectively.

• Take ownership of the timely and accurate preparation, review, and distribution of monthly financial statements for 20-40 clients.

• Oversee and mentor the preparation team to ensure the delivery of reliable financials and maintain robust client margins.

• Engage with clients through Slack and Email, addressing inquiries and gathering necessary information for financial closures.

• Organize and establish new accounting records for newly acquired clients.

• Enhance operational efficiency by applying systems thinking and taking responsibility for processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of month-end closure processes and financial reporting.

• Proven experience in reviewing the work of others, including bookkeepers or junior accountants.

• Highly organized, with the capability to manage multiple clients at once.

• Excellent communication skills, with a comfort level in direct interactions with founders.
