Accounting Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist with accounts payable tasks, which include onboarding vendors, reviewing invoices, processing payments, and reconciling accounts payable.

• Ensure accurate and timely filing of state sales taxes.

• Oversee sales tax registrations as the organization enters new jurisdictions.

• Facilitate broader tax compliance by collecting and organizing data for external CPA and tax consultants.

• Aid in the monthly closing process, encompassing account reconciliations, amortization, and accruals.

• Discover opportunities to enhance accounting processes, controls, and workflows as the company grows.

• Establish yourself as a trusted steward of essential accounting processes and contribute to the development of scalable accounting operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-6 years of pertinent experience in accounting or finance.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-growth company.

• Solid accounting foundation with a thorough understanding of fundamental accounting principles.

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

• Self-motivated individual who is comfortable taking initiative and working autonomously.

• Capable of managing ambiguity and addressing challenges in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

• Experience in a technology startup (preferred).

• Background in tax compliance (preferred).

• Proven experience in building or enhancing accounting processes within a rapidly growing organization (preferred).

• CPA certification (preferred).

• Proficiency in Mandarin (preferred).
